Human Effort Engineering Projects - Illustrations

Human effort engineering is an activity undertaken by industrial engineers in collaboration with functional engineering specialists, engineering managers and human body and behavior specialists. Human body and behavior specialists include ergonomists, phisioloigts, anatomy specialists, psychologists, and sociologists. Ergonomics is applied body and behavioral science in the field of work and both physiologists and psychologists are taking up ergonomic research and studies. Industrial engineers monitor ergonomic research to apply the research findings as quickly as possible and appropriate. The work to be done by operators or human element is specified by the functional engineering specialists and engineering managers. Thus human effort engineering is a cross functional activity led by industrial engineers who are the specialists in work-operator interaction.

The NASA proposal on on human factors enginering is a good example of human effort engineering project.
